Noctis Lucis Caelum had quite the journey ahead of him, and behind him, by the time he'd come to Prejmer, Romania. He had been on this journey for four months and this was the last town he needed to visit before he would start his long journey back home. The purpose of his visit was one of Royal Decree, which really only boiled down to reaching the governing entity of Prejmer to make sure they were loyal to his father, the King of Lucis. His father, of course, was abroad visiting in on some of their other richer allies while Noctis went to some of the smaller regions to renew vows of devotion. It all seemed a bit silly but Noctis loved the traveling part of it.
He enjoyed the long car rides, the different cultures, the fairy tales, superstitions, food, dances, all of the things he came in contact with that he didn't see back in his home town of Insomnia.
Prejmer was probably the smallest town he's seen so far and he spent a few days in the town meeting the locals and trying to get an answer for who he ought to speak to about who's in charge. It was a mix from religious entities to a Count that reigned on one of their highest hilltops. The visit to the church was a bust and he felt more shunned than invited, so his next stop was the Nobleman's castle. He arrived during a full moon and calmly knocked on the large wooden door. "Hello?" It was awfully quiet, chilly, and a bit eerie. Not like some of the other mansions he's visited on his journey.
Radu had seen the car approaching his castle from the top story window of his castle. Even from so far up, Radu could see that the young man who stepped out of the car was an outsider. He didn't dress like one of the locals, with his clothing signalling he came from a much richer economy. Why he was coming up to the castle was another mystery. Perhaps he was some traveler looking for a place to stay, and the inn was full. Or the locals hadn't been very welcoming of him.
Either way, perhaps it would prove interesting. Radu made his way to the first floor before the young man even knocked.
Opening the door just a crack, Radu peeked out at the young man. This close, it was all the more clear that he wasn't a local man. "What do you want?"
"I apologize for coming without first calling.. however, I've been directed over to your .. home," he swallowed and looked over the pale face that greeted him. The man's lips were dark as was the man's eyes, he looked - well - he looked sort of like a gargoyle. "Ah," Noct cleared his throat. "I'm Noctis Lucis Caelum, here on behalf of my father King Regis in regards to up keeping with the treaties across our lands.." He licked his lips and he lowered his eyes to his hands. He felt a little weird not being received, the other places he's been all knew he was coming or knew he was there by the look of his car and sight of him. "Do you recognize me?" He asked, rather selfishly before his eyes were brought back up to the dark one's of the stranger.
"I do not have a television, or computer," Radu stated, not entirely politely. That car looked more expensive than most of the houses people owned in this village, never mind the way the young man was dressed. He stuck out like a sore thumb amid the humble atmosphere of Radu's domain.
Still, if this was the prince, then it would not be wise to turn him away, lest the king get offended and send someone more forceful, or just send an army. Radu opened the door wide enough to let Noctis in, "Do step inside."
Noctis smiled, doing his best to be polite as he entered through the threshold. The first thing he noticed were those fingers. He'd never seen anyone with such lengthy fingers before and he caught himself staring at them with a gaped mouth. He had taken a few steps forward into the foyer and lingered with his eyes on the stranger. "Uh, they would not tell me your name.." He expressed, his eyes finally looked up to the ghoulish pale face on the other.
"Usually we mean to announce our arrival, I apologize.. we lost contact with the governing party of this town."
The fingers were certainly eye-catching, since they marked him as unusual, though it was surprising how many mortals were willing to believe it was a very rare bone condition. Not to mention a lot of humans were willing to believe he just had a skin condition, and thus couldn't go out into the sun.
"I am Count Radu Vladislas," Radu slid the door shut behind Noctis. It would be easy to pounce upon him and drain him dry, but he had to admit he was curious about this royal visitor. "I'm afraid the previous lord of this castle has recently passed on, and I am his only living heir."
